I saw a labor demonstration on my way to work.  It wasn’t clear if they were protesting McDonalds or BP specifically or Corporate America in general. The speaker said something about the rich getting richer and the rest of the rest of the population stuck in stagnation.  Among the suggestion to rectify this imbalance were a $15/hour wage.

There were signs that had slogans like:

Stop The War on Workers

and

Philly Needs A Raise

The demonstration seemed interesting and I would have liked to stay for more.  Unfortunately, and ironically, I had to go down into the SEPTA, take the Broad Street Line north and get to work.
